More and more nations are Expressing strong point of opinions against wearing Islamic clothing in the Western world. Certain nations have even gone to the extent of banning them entirely from the country. According to their views, Islamic clothing are a symbol of terrorism and extremism and they are not keen to promote both of them by enabling individuals to wear Islamic clothes based on their free will. Originally it was France and others followed suit with the most recent chaos in Belgium going on about this matter. Although every person and state Has a right to their views, but personally I believe that labelling a particular way of dressing as being connected to fundamentalism and extremism in Islam based on a few independent cases isn’t completely fair to the Muslim world.
Wearing Islamic clothes doesn’t automatically turn you into a person who’s connected to the actions of extremism being implemented. In fact, these people aren’t even following the true path of Islam which preaches peace and love. Islamic clothes are Just a symbol of modesty and decency. As certain people choose to wear long skirts and trousers rather than disclose their skin in miniskirts and Capri pants, similarly, Muslim women decide to wear loose fitting and flowing abayas and jilbabs. They cover their heads with hijabs very similar to Western women who wear scarves and hats. There is Nothing about wearing muslim clothing men which may be tied to extremism. Women and men who choose to wear abayas, jilbabs, hijabs and jubbahs in their lives do so to protect their Honor and please their Allah. They are following the Sunnah of the beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW, who was the ambassador or peace and forgiveness. He was a gentle being who spread the faith Islam not by mite but by his own excellent deeds and actions.
His teachings were of kindness and compassion rather than of violence and cruelty. Hence, the religion Islam and its own lifestyle in no way preach this sort of radicalism which has been associated with Islamic clothing articles now. The ban should not be permitted as Today the world is filled with free will beings, and just as other religions and sects are permitted to wear clothes in accordance with their own wishes, Muslims should have the option of deciding to wear Islamic clothes openly and freely without the fear of being discriminated against by others. Clothing articles can by no means turn a person’s character into either liberal or basic.
