About Us

 

Blue Star Farms, Inc. is a large-acreage, family owned farm located just two miles out of Douglas/Saugatuck.  During the season, we offer hand picked blueberries in our U-Pick store, we custom harvest and process blueberries, and offer frozen blueberries in the off season. We have developed local roots and support from the community.

Tony Marr purchased Krupka's Blueberries, Inc. in January 2011.  Tony has been in the blueberry business for 28+ years bringing much expertise to the already thriving business.

 

Blueberry Recipes

Sugar Crusted Blueberry Muffins

 

1-3/4 C flour                           1/4 C sugar

2-1/2 tsp. baking powder       3/4 tsp. salt

1 egg, well beaten                  3/4 C milk

1/3 C salad oil                         1 C fresh blueberries

 

Sift dry ingredients together in large bowl.  Make a well in the center.  Combine egg, milk and salad oil.  Add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.  Gently fold in blueberries.  Fill greased muffin pans two-thirds full.  Bake in a pre-heated 400* oven 25 minutes.  Cool 5 minutes.  Remove from pans.  Brush tops with 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine.  Dip tops into 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon.
